Dear Diary,
Christ I'm hungover, feeling hanging after last nights skinful (and stuff). I managed to crawl out of bed in time. It's the downpour deluge and I'm en route to the Solent gig tutorial.
Things are moving in the Forums finally. Even some witty banter and informative digression. I was called a 'fountain of knowledge' by another student (someone of importance, working in Defence overseas). On the Flex. Not bad considering I was half-cut while posting, though managed to remain amicable. Alas, Maxy Waxyworks better while sedated on mellow Dutch courage and chollie. God bless the Dutch. (we'll excuse the fact they were the last country to mount a naval attack on these fair shores.) From Juttes and Frisians, to red-haired hooligans. Though I'm partial to their stellar gateaux, I'm not a fan of the prossies (though Maxime, Conan, and a few other desperado friends be). Pay?! Surely it's the other way around!
Everytime I go to Belgium or the Netherlands with Maxime, he always gets fleeced by some hooker, usually through meeting gyspies and wanting to score. I get the inevitible phone-call from a bar somewhere, he routinely loses his phone, cards, cash, keys, passport, and most of all: his clothes (though they be the only articles not robbed).
I'm supposed to be meeting him today, after lectures, hopping on a ferry to Bretagne. Alas no. I am even thinking twice about going upto see Dadio, due to the Olympic torch thang.
Ahh, the train, far better than the bus or coach. Cheaper too! (Surprisingly)
I'm looking forward to the gig this weekend. Though Gulliver's banjo falls far short of R.'s playing, he makes up for it with his fiddle playing. Yeeha! Last week Larry paid his wages out of his own pocket (the bar refused as he left early, and I couldn't recompense him as I had yet to be paid that night.) Larry also gave Harry a phat pouch of baccy after he'd had his stolen on the bar, the same night my special signature fountain pen went missing. Normally it's a safe pub, but their are more and more strangers visiting due to the music getting better week on week.
Man! I'm hungover! Get a grip Maxy. Stay On the Flex. Lectures soon. We're teaming up with the other groups. It'll be nice to see sailor G.B. again. Also the blonde. Both Voices and Texts veterans, both The Arts: Past and Present casualties. I am so into this course! God bless the O. U.
Maximus Fleximus
