Work and study

Dear Diary,

So on a whim I've decided to resume translating Scivias by Hildegard von Bingen (not the bardcore YouTube star: Hildegard von Blingen). I have also decided to cut my losses, and not continue education. Why? What's the point? Like I can just pull four grand out of my backside when I work six days a week for £750 a month (the same amount you receive on the dole, by the way). Instead, I am thinking of living a better life elsewhere. I cannot very well stay here, because to do so would be an idiotic decision. Yesterday at work I sang some Randy Newman. It reminded me that I play the piano, and the guitar, very well, and have made a living doing this for a very long time. Moreover, I speak a number of languages, not least of which Latin, which helps in picking up Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and even Romanian. Even if the third world war kicks off, I was reading a book on potential nuclear targets (The Secret State by Peter Hennessey). This book contains declassified reports on which cities and towns will probably get clobbered first in a first strike. It also, however, explains that most countries have no provision for their people in the event of a nuclear attack (think 'duck and cover' like in Southpark). Only the nobby pricks that never did a day's work in their sorry ass lives get saved (and their secretaries they're banging). This book does, however, list those countries which do actually care for their people in the event of a nuclear attack. You're white and can play guitar well? That's a passport to any country in the world.

Max.
